Pittsburgh - Phone Reassurance
Provides older adults with phone calls from volunteers to "check in" on their needs, help to reduce isolation, and increase their opportunities for social connection.
Eligibility: Highmark Medicare members.
Hours: Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Days and times are scheduled at the mutual convenience of the consumer and volunteer.

Intake Procedure: Call to sign up, or visit the website to register online.
Intake Requirements: Pre registration required; service might take up to two weeks to begin.
Geographical Area: In Pennsylvania: Adams, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Berks, Butler, Blair, Cambria, Crawford, Cumberland, Dauphin, Erie, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Mercer, Somerset, Northampton, Perry, Washington, Westmoreland. and York counties.

In West Virgina: Brooke, Cabell, Kanawha, Monongalia, Ohio, Putnam, Wetzel, and Wood counties.
Helpful Tips: Volunteers are thoroughly vetted through background checks and receive training for each program offered.
